The recently launched Mi TVs and the Mi Smart Weighing Scale are examples of devices outside the mobile category from its line-up.

According to the lawsuit, the man claims that an iPhone cryptocurrency payments app notified that he received “69 GayCoins” with a note saying “Don’t judge until you try”. Upon reading this, it appears like he got intrigued and decided to try out same-sex relationships.

“I thought, in truth, how can I judge something without trying? I decided to try same-sex relationships. Now I have a boyfriend and I do not know how to explain this to my parents… my life has been changed for the worse and will never become normal again,” he wrote in a complaint.

In the lawsuit filed at a Moscow court, he is demanding RUB 1 million which roughly translates to 10 Lakhs in rupees. His lawyer Sapizhat Gusnieva says that the case is quite serious and her client is scared.

In other news of Apple getting sued, an app developer recently sued the company for patent infringement and antitrust violations with its Sign in with Apple feature.

It will be interesting to know what the court has to say regarding this unconventional case. So, what do you think should be the judgment? Tell us in the comments.

Realme 3 First Impressions: The “Real” Budget Phone?

Realme 3 first impressions the salon, realme 3 first impressions the 8220 real 8221 willow, realme 3 first impressions theme, realme first model, realme 3 first impressions the 8220 real 8221 budget phone for photography, realme 3 first impressions the sims, realme 3 first impressions the 8220 real 8221 budget truck, realme 3 first impressions the 8220 louetta, realme 3 first impressions the 8220 real 82215146ab, realme 3 first time home buyer.

Realme has just launched its brand new smartphone, the Realme 3 (starts at Rs. 8,999) in an attempt to get a stronger hold on the budget smartphone segment in India. The Realme 3 comes with some decent specs, but is it enough to be a great budget smartphone, especially with t he likes of the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro out in the market? Well, I’ve used the Realme 3 for a bit and here are my first impressions of the phone.

Realme 3 Specs:

Before we jump into the impressions of the device, let’s take a quick look at the specifications. This is the hardware you’ll find on the Realme 3:

Display6.2-inch LCD HD+ (1520x720)
ProcessorMediaTek Helio P70
RAM3GB/4GB
Storage32GB/64GB
Primary Cameras13MP + 2MP
Secondary Cameras13MP
Battery4230mAh
OSColorOS based on Android Pie
Sensors e-Compass, Light sensor, Promixity sensor, Gravity sensor, Accelerometer sensor, Fingerprint sensor
ConnectivityDual nano SIM card tray, Dual VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2

Design and Build

In terms of look and feel, the Realme 3 is a pretty good phone. It’s obviously not as premium feeling as some other phones in this price range, but it’s not a cheap feeling phone at all. The back here has a gorgeous gradient finish, and it’s very subtle, at least on our ‘Radiant Blue’ unit, unlike the overly saturated gradients that I, at least, don’t like.

Anyway, the phone is quite comfortable to hold, and is surprisingly grippy, for something that looks like it’ll slip right out of your hands. The back here also features the typical stuff, including the vertically oriented dual rear camera set up, and the fingerprint scanner.

Moving to the front, the Realme 3 comes with a nice looking teardrop notch design, which by common consensus here at the Beebom office, is our favorite implementation of the notch. There’s also a chin here, and while it’s pretty standard to have big chins on budget phones, this one is bigger than the Realme U1’s chin, and that bugs me.

Overall though, the Realme 3 has everything you’d need. There are the usual buttons, a triple SIM card slot (which means you can use dual SIMs and a microSD card at the same time), the headphone jack is still here, and there’s a microUSB port. Yeah, the Realme 3 has a microUSB port, even when some phones in this price range have switched to a USB-C. It’s not really a deal-breaker, but it’s definitely something I’m not a fan of.

Display

Anyway, while we’re at the front of the phone, the Realme 3 comes with a big 6.2-inch display, and it’s a 720p panel this time with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. To be honest, the display is fine, and I don’t really have complaints with it so far, but what I don’t understand is why the Realme 3 has a 720p display even though the Realme U1 had a FullHD+ display.

Even so, the display here is good enough. There’s decently good color reproduction, and the viewing angles are fine, although the display isn’t the brightest we’ve seen in this price bracket. I faced issues using it in direct sunlight.

Performance

The Realme 3 keeps the Helio P70 from the Realme U1, and that’s fine. The P70 is a decent processor that performs in the ballpark of the Snapdragon 660, and in this price range it’s perfectly fine to have this processor.

The Realme 3 comes in two configurations, a 3GB/32GB variant and a 4GB/64GB variant, both of which share everything else as far as specs are concerned. We have the 3GB variant here and the performance is good enough. The phone handles day to day tasks pretty easily and with no visible lag, and even gaming performance is decent. We tried playing PUBG Mobile on it, and by default the game runs on Medium settings here, and it runs fine. There are frame drops sometimes, but switching graphics to low solves that problem with ease.

If you’re wondering about benchmark comparisons, the Helio P70 performs significantly better than the Snapdragon 636, and matches the Snapdragon 660 in single-core tests, while scoring slightly lower in the multi-core tests against the Snapdragon 660.

Cameras

The Realme 3 packs in a dual 13MP + 2MP set up on the back, which is the same as the Realme U1. In our short time using the phone, photos from the camera did look decent enough. However, it doesn’t really stand up to the camera performance of the Realme U1, even though the U1 also has a 13MP + 2MP set up on the back.

On the front too, t he Realme 3 goes with a 13MP AI selfie camera, which looks like a big step down from the 25MP sensor found in the Realme U1. The difference is evident here as well. While selfies from the Realme 3 aren’t bad, per se, they don’t match up to the front camera performance of the Realme U1.

The phone also supports 1080p video recording, and while that’s alright, it’s a little weird because the Helio P70 does support 4K recording. Also, the phone doesn’t come with stabilization, so even though the videos here could’ve been good, they’re definitely n ot stable enough.

Battery

On the battery front, the Realme 3 takes a big step up from the U1, and comes with a huge 4,230 mAh battery as compared to the 3,500 mAh seen in the U1. The battery performance here shouldn’t be an issue. Since this is a 4,230 mAh battery you should get well over a day of battery life on this phone, and that’s great.

What’s more, the phone comes with a 10W fast charger in the box, so you can top it up quickly as well. We’ve not tested the battery thoroughly yet, but we’ll be doing that for our full review, so stay tuned.

Realme 3 First Impressions: An Aggressively Priced Budget Phone

Priced starting at Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant, the Realme 3 looks like a decent budget smartphone, and is definitely pretty aggressively priced by Realme. The phone has the Redmi Note 7 as it’s direct competitor though, and we’ll be taking a look into the two phones for sure, along with how they compare against each other. Anyway, what do you think about the Realme 3? Let us know in the comments down below.

WhatsApp Beta for Android Hints at New Call Button, Catalogue & Doodles Feature

WhatsApp is working to add a boatload of new features to its popular messaging app. We already know that an improved archived chat section, expiring messages, storage usage tools are coming soon. The latest WhatsApp beta (version number 2.20.200.3) for Android has revealed a couple of new features that are currently in the works.

  • WhatsApp Doodles for Wallpapers

First spotted by reputable tipster WABetaInfo, the messaging giant is planning to offer you more control over wallpapers used in chat windows. The new feature will either see you apply a solid color wallpaper (same as those seen with the rollout of the dark mode at the start of this year) or ‘Add WhatsApp Doodles’ to the wallpaper. You can see the difference between the two styles right here:

  • Easy Access to Business Catalogue

WhatsApp is also set to make it easier for general masses to access a catalogue built by business users. The chat window for businesses will soon carry a new ‘shopping bag’ icon at the top, next to the calling icon. Tapping this icon will let you see the products available with a particular business. Currently, you need to head into the profile of the business to know whether they have created a product catalogue.

  • Single Call Button

  • Single Call Button

Since the catalogue shortcut will take the place of one of the calling options – voice and video, WhatsApp is experimenting with a single call button. It looks exactly like the button you have in group chats at the moment. But, instead of asking you to select the members you want to call, it will show you the audio and video call option in a pop-up window. This will ease reachability while offering businesses a quicker way to showcase their products to potential users.

All of these features are currently under development. You will not be able to try them out in the latest Android or iOS beta builds. There is also no word on when WhatsApp will make these features official.

Redmi-branded 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh Power Banks Launched in China

Redmi brand origin, price of redmi 10, redmi brand phone, redmi 10 how much, redmi brand logo, redmi 10a price in india, redmi 10 ph price, redmi 10000 price mobile, redmi 10000 mah power bank, redmi 20000 mah powerbank.

Xiaomi’s budget-centric Redmi brand is already known enough that the company is now steadily expanding its portfolio of products under the same. It started off this endeavor with smartphones, launching Redmi AirDots and suitcases later down the road. And now, Redmi has added one of the most Xiaomi products, i.e power banks, to its kitty.

Redmi-branded 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh battery packs have been launched in China today, offering users access to new affordable means to juice up their devices on the go. The 10,000mAh power bank is priced at an economical 59 yuan (roughly Rs 599) while you’ll have to spend 99 yuan (roughly Rs 999) for the 20,000mAh portable battery pack.

The stand out feature of both of these power banks is that they feature dual-input and dual-output ports. The former obviously are microUSB (for entry-level users) and USB Type-C ports (for budget or premium users), whereas the latter are two standard USB Type-A ports.

Talking about the 10,000mAh power bank, it’s been priced so affordably because of the lack of fast charging on both the input and output ports. The input port support 5V and 2.1A charging whereas you can charge devices at 5.1V/2.4A (12.2W) power rating. The same sounds okayish, but I surely prefer fast charging.

Well, the 20,000 Redmi power bank obviously looks bulkier than the 10,000mAh one. It looks about twice the size of its smaller sibling and offers different input/ output ratings too. The best part is that it supports fast-charging. The input ports have a rating of 10W (5V/2A) and 18W (9V/2A) whereas the output ports are rated at 12.24W (5.1V/2.4A), 18W (9V/2A), and 18W(12V/1.5A).

Both of these power banks are only available in white color, with no word on any other variants right now. Redmi further boasts that these power banks feature nine different protections to safeguard the power bank or user’s devices while charging, which surely sounds great.

Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon 850 Processor For Connected Windows 10 PCs

Microsoft is hell-bent on building Windows 10 PCs powered by mobile processors and its chip-making partner – Qualcomm is not one to back down. Qualcomm has today unveiled the Snapdragon 850 mobile platform that’s primarily designed for Always Connected Windows 10 PCs.

In its official press release, Qualcomm says it has partnered with Samsung to develop the Snapdragon 850 processor, which utilizes the 10nm fabrication technology and houses a Snapdragon X20 and Qualcomm AI Engine.

This is a dedicated processor for the future lineup of Windows 10 PCs that run on ARM, which were previously powered by the Snapdragon 835. The aim here is to make your Windows 10 PCs more portable and litter it with mobile-friendly features such as LTE connectivity, better battery life and more.

The Snapdragon 850 is essential ly a souped-up version of the Snapdragon 845 processor that was released earlier this year but also feature optimizations that make it suited for Windows 10 PCs. As Qualcomm’s official blog post claims,

The power-efficient architecture of the Snapdragon 850 is engineered to support up to 30 percent system-wide increase in performance and up to 3X AI performance over the previous generation, as well as up to 1.2 gigabits per second LTE connectivity speeds and up to 25 hours of continuous usage.

And lastly, to ruin the fun for you all, Qualcomm has already confirmed that we shouldn’t expect Snapdragon 850 to make its way to mobile phones. It will appear only on Always Connected PCs, offering a ‘highly-optimized’ Windows 10 experience at a relatively low price.

Samsung is one of the key partners for this launch, so we can expect to see a Snapdragon 850-powered Windows 10 PC from the Korean giant later this year. There is no word on all other partners but more Windows 10 laptops, with this new processor, will be shown off by the end of 2018. So, are you excited for the future of Always Connected Windows 10 PCs? Tell us in the comments down below.
